Wine Lovers,

This week we've got some terrific deals on 4 great wines we'll be featuring on Friday evening from 5-8 and Saturday afternoon from 1-5.
Friday evening, Mr. Chris Carroll of Republic National Distributing Co. will be on hand to pour samples of the wines and answer any questions you might have about them. Saturday afternoon I'll do the honors.

The first featured wine is one you've probably never seen:
Chateau Reynella, McLaren Vale Chardonnay, Australia
Regular price $20.99  Roget's Price until they sell out, $15.99
Unusually complex for a wine in this price range, marrying grilled peaches with hints of toasted hazelnut and bacon fat, and wrapped in a layer of cedary, vanilla-scented oak. Medium-bodied, with a long, subtly oaky finish. Only 1,500 cases made. Wine Enthusiast Rating "90-Best Buy" Wine Spectator Rating "89"

Blackstone Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
The cool climate of Monterey County vineyards in let these grapes ripen slowly, intensifying their bright cherry, jammy berry, and black tea-infused flavors. The texture of the wine is silky smooth, with a soft and delicate finish. Regular price $22.99  Roget's Price until they sell out, $15.99

Blackstone "Sonoma Reserve" Merlot
The Blackstone Sonoma Reserve Merlot 2005 offers pleasing aromas of fresh raspberry, black currant, clove and vanilla with a hint of earthiness. The wine is full-bodied with layers of bright red fruit, coffee and clove, finished with nice, well-integrated structure and a velvety mouthfeel. Wine Enthusiast Rating "87"
Regular price $19.99
Roget's Price until they sell out, $15.99

From Castilla y Leon, Spain
Condita 2003 100% tempranillo
I took a chance with this wine because I can find no information on it in any of my wine rating websites or on the net, which is probably why the distributor had a difficult time moving it. So, relegated to doing my own laborious research, I took a bottle home to try .Stephanie and I found that it needs to be decanted and allowed to breath for 1/2 hour or so--an hour would yield even better results------trust me, your patience will be rewarded!
We found roasted and earthy notes that give this burly red a rustic edge, but it's solid, with a core of plum and coffee flavors that are expressive and balanced. A good match for hearty dishes.
Regular price is $32.99, Roget's Price until they sell out, $21.99
We've got only 19 bottles as of this posting.

New in the store:
Flying Fish Riesling, The sister wine to the very popular Flying Fish Merlot. This brand new wine scored "Double Gold--Best Riesling" in the 2008 San Francisco Wine Competition! Bright ripe peach and apricot aromas and flavors with a hint of spicy mineral on the finish. This Riesling might change the mind of some of those who "never drink Riesling!"

The Mulderbosch Cabernet Sauvignon Rose' is back. It's the 2008 Vintage and is drinking just as beautifully as the 2007. Price is the same at $13.99

Yesterday we received the latest vintage of the highly acclaimed and much sought after Mollydooker "Two-Left-Feet", a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot.
We also, for the first time, acquired a case of the rare Mollydooker "The Scooter" Merlot!
Both are priced at $28.99 and supplies are so V E R Y  L I M I T E D, we must limit your purchase to only 2 bottles.  Call or email me to hold some back for you---but don't wait too long-----when they're gone we'll likely not get any again untill next year.

We hope to see you this weekend,
Good luck to all of us concerning Gustav and Hanna
